What After

 

Doctors often don’t know about your practice, practitioners, or services. They are too busy and inundated with patients, pharma salespeople, admin issues, government regulations, and much more. They want to refer out but want to know, like, and trust the referral partner first. After getting your letter and referral pads they now know of you. We recommend the practitioners from your clinic to follow up with the doctor with a phone call. Oftentimes, you will not get a hold of the doctor, but we recommend leaving a message saying something like the following. Hi, Dr…” We are just following up on the mail we sent a week ago, we wanted to check if you received it and if you had any questions”. The goal here is to build a relationship and this direct mail is an excellent starting point. We recommend dropping by with cookies for their front desk. Inviting the doctors to a lunch and learn or if it is a big clinic offering to do it at theirs. It takes several touchpoints to develop a relationship with new partners.
